School Days

Made during a workshop at the North Redwoods Book Arts Guild taught by Connie Rose. I loved sewing this three section structure and embellishing it was even more fun. I used a vintage math book that was surprisingly enlightened for its time showing girls in prominent rolls and father helping with housework. Embellishments were school related items tucked into fold outs and other variations. Handmade book cloth was made using wheat paste.

Materials: Repurposed book, book cloth, linen thread, decorative papers.
