A Jar of Buttons

Inspired by a poem called “A Jar of Buttons” written by Ted Kooser, a Nebraska poet laureate, I used images of my female ancestors to illustrate different verses of the poem. My mother was an accomplished seamstress as was her sister.

Materials: fabric, buttons, lace, ribbons.
