Caterpillar Stitch Book

Created during a Daniel Essig workshop for the San Diego Center for the Book, I learned the Greek binding, caterpillar stitch, and headbands. The wooden covers were covered with wrinkled craft paper  and painted with layers of milk paint and sanded.

Materials: Wood, craft paper, milk paint, linen thread, hand shaped brass dowel and leather for closure.
