Farm Table Book

We spend the Fall in rural Nebraska and sometimes I don’t have materials I usually use for book. Scouting around for wood I discovered an old farm table that had lived in a barn for years. My husband cut it up for covers and I used milk paint to enhance the faded red color, created straps from scraps of quilt fabric, and embedded an old rusted part in the cover. I used a longstitch to pull it all together. The book was auctioned off at a fund-raiser for Osher Life Long Learning through Humboldt State University.
